    Who we are

    IIFC (UK) is the controller of personal data for the purposes of providing long term debt funding to its clients for viable infrastructure projects in India.

    What personal data do we collect about you?

    We collect personal data about you when you use our services. This data will relate to personal identifiable information (such as name, date of birth, demographic data), contact information (such as telephone number, address, email), and financial information. We typically do not process special categories of personal data (sensitive data) such as data about your health or conditions, hence kindly do not share any such sensitive data with us. In the case that this is required, we would seek your informed and explicit consent prior to processing such sensitive data.

    How will we use your personal data?

    Retention period

    We will only keep personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was gained and only where we continue to have a legal basis for doing so. Where we become aware that your data is inaccurate, we will update it accordingly. Where you apply for our services or where we are arranging to enter into a contract with you, but are unsuccessful, we will retain your personal data, for a period of 1 year from receipt of your application. Where we have entered into a contract to which you are party, we will retain your personal data for the duration of the contract, for record-keeping purposes, as required by law and for a further 6 years after the contract ends or is terminated by either party for our legitimate interests. We may keep your information for longer than indicated if we are required to due to legal and regulatory obligations. We may also keep it for research or statistical purposes. If we do, we’ll make sure that your privacy is protected and only use it for those purposes.

    We are committed to transparency, ensuring that your privacy is protected and that your data is used and retained fairly, transparently and in compliance with the data protection regulation. We will make sure that we have appropriate technical and organisational measures in place to keep your personal data secure and to protect against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss alteration, disclosure or access. We will provide a level of security appropriate to the risk presented by the nature of the processing we do.

    Sending your data outside of the EEA
