|Mr. Padmanabhan Raja Jaishankar brings with him a rich experience of over 32 years in Development Banking and Financial domains, handling Top Management and Board Level roles in the Infrastructure, Mortgage Finance and Capital Markets sectors.Before the current position, he was the Executive Director of National Housing Bank (NHB). He has served as Director & CEO IIFCL Projects Ltd (IPL), Chairman (Board of Trustee) of IIFCL Asset Management Company Limited (IAMCL) and Chief General Manager, IIFCL. He was also on the Board of India Mortgage Credit Guarantee Corporation (IMGC) and IFCI Factors Ltd.He specialises in Structured Project Finance, New Financial Product Development, Development Initiatives, Risk Management and other functions. He is known for having structured the first ever Mortgage Securitisation transaction in India and a number of other structured financial solutions such as Credit Enhancement, Takeout Finance and Reverse Mortgages.
He has been actively engaged in assisting the Government in its various Committees on Sectoral Policies, which includes leading the initiative for formation of the First dedicated Credit Enhancement Company for the infrastructure sector. He is also a leading member of the project finance group of the Inter-Ministerial Steering Committee (IMSC) for financing of infrastructure investment under the National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP) announced by the Government of India.
Mr. Jaishankar holds a Master’s Degree in Technology (MTech) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi and is an MBA (Finance) from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi University.
|Mr. Lalit Kumar Chandel (Indian Economic Service), Economic Adviser, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India is a postgraduate in Economics, MBA and Fellow in Insurance. He has served at various positions in Government of India, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) and the State Government of Telangana.Shri Kumar started his career with the then Planning Commission where he was involved in policy interventions towards harnessing and utilization of all water resources for benefitting of Agricultural sector, Industrial Sector etc. While working with Department of Economic Affairs, he was responsible for overall monitoring of disbursement of resources for all the externally aided projects, regulation of securities markets and investor protection, domestic mutual funds, venture capital funds, collective investment schemes etc.In the Department of Financial Services, Shri Lalit Kumar has handled matters relating to reforms in the insurance sector, administration of insurance sector legislations, monitoring the performance of Government owned Insurance Companies and Social Sector Insurance Schemes. He is currently looking after the key portfolio of Institutional Finance in the Department.
As Executive Director and Financial Adviser, Insurance Regulatory Development Authority of India, Shri Kumar was responsible for overall financial discipline in the organization. He was also the Head of other Departments such as the Consumer Affairs Department, and Enforcement Department. He has also worked as Director(Finance) in the Telangana State Power Generation Corporation (TSGENCO), Hyderabad and played a crucial role in finalisation of a plan for bifurcation of assets and liabilities between demerged TSGENCO and APGENCO.
Shri Lalit Kumar is currently on the Board of Directors of National Housing Bank, and ICICI Bank. He has earlier served as the Government Nominee Director/Member in the National Insurance Company Limited, Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd, Corporation Bank, Agriculture Insurance Co. of India, National Insurance Academy, Institute of Actuaries of India and the Insurance Advisory Council of IRDAI.
|Mr. Sharad S. Chandak is presently the Regional Head, State Bank of India, UK Region, and CEO, SBI (UK) Ltd. Earlier, he was working as the General Manager with State Bank of India – India’s Largest Bank, a top 50 bank in the world, and a Fortune 500 company, Immediately prior to the posting at London, he was handling the Steel Sector portfolio (USD 4.4 Billion) at the Stressed Asset Resolution Group of the Bank. Mr Chandak is a professional banker with over 32 years’ experience. He is Master of Commerce (M.Com.) and is a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). He started his career with State Bank of India in 1988 and has worked across several areas of the Bank, and his area of specialisation include Strategic Planning, Personnel Management, Branch & Region Administration, Project Appraisal, Credit Administration, Stressed Asset Resolution, etc.|
|Mr. Rakesh Kumar took charge as Managing Director of IIFC(UK) on 4th April 2021. He has a post graduate degree in management and diploma in training and development. He has a rich experience of over 2 decades across various renowned public sector institutions in India involved in various sectors like mining, power, transportation and financial services. During his time in IIFCL over the past decade he has effectively handled responsibilities and lead teams in several departments including Human Resources, General Administration, Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate Planning, Subsidiary management and Credit sanction, disbursement & monitoring. He has also represented IIFCL in various national and international fora hosted by trade organisations, multilateral and bilateral institutions.|
